In Ukraine, they are actively discussing the introduction of a mechanism for the preventive restructuring of business debts. Recently, a round table “Bankruptcy.net/ Rebooting business: Preventive restructuring as a key to success” was held, moderated by Oleksiy Voronko, Chairman of the APU Committee on Competition Law, and Nataliya Tyshchenko, Deputy Chairman of the APU Committee on Competition Law, managing partner of Yuk Nobili. The event discussed the importance and necessity of introducing this mechanism, which is a set of measures aimed at improving the business climate in Ukraine.

This demonstrates the government’s desire to create conditions under which entrepreneurs will have more opportunities to overcome financial difficulties and develop their companies. The relevant draft law has already been approved by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading. The developers of draft law #10143 – Oleksiy Movchan, People’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation, and Yulian Khorunzhiy, senior partner of Ario Law Firm, took part in the discussion. Judges of the Supreme Court, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the National Association of Arbitration Managers, the Audit Chamber of Ukraine, JSC “NAC Naftogaz of Ukraine”, representatives of the financial and legal markets, as well as working private businesses also joined the discussion.

The preventive restructuring mechanism will allow businesses to avoid bankruptcy, preserve jobs and continue their activities. This is an important step in creating stable and predictable conditions for doing business in Ukraine.
